The period of time it takes to cool the water can depend on a number of factors.

Under perfect conditions the IceChiller Pro can cool tap water down from 25°C to 3°C in 3-5 hours

The 1/2 HP chiller uses 0.5 kWh per hour when first started. When running normally with the ice bath covered, it operates at 0.1 kWh per hour. During heat preservation mode, consumption ranges between 0.1 and 0.5 kWh per hour, as it periodically cools to maintain temperature. The cost for active cooling is 25 cents per kWh.

We recommend refilling the water every 3-4 weeks, depending on usage.

To keep the water clean, replace it every 3–4 weeks and use chlorine tablets or natural alternatives like bicarbonate of soda or hydrogen peroxide. The built-in filter in the chiller helps maintain water cleanliness by reducing debris and preventing bacterial growth. Regular maintenance ensures optimal hygiene and performance.

For Hydrogen Peroxide:

• Ice Barrel (250L): Add 125mL of 3% hydrogen peroxide directly into the water.
• Ice Barrel Pro (300L): Add 150mL of 3% hydrogen peroxide directly into the water.
• Stir the water gently to distribute the hydrogen peroxide evenly.

For Chlorine Tablets:

• Use 1 chlorine tablet per 250L of water.
• Ice Barrel (250L): Add 1 tablet into a floating chlorine dispenser or directly into the water.
• Ice Barrel Pro (300L): Add 1-1.5 tablets into a floating chlorine dispenser or directly into the water.
• Allow the chlorine tablets to dissolve gradually for continuous water treatment.

Note: Regularly monitor water clarity and adjust the treatment quantities as needed based on usage and environmental conditions.

To allow for displacement when entering the bath, fill the barrel to 150L below its maximum capacity:

• Ice Barrel: Fill to approximately 250L (maximum capacity is 400L).
• Ice Barrel Pro: Fill to approximately 300L (maximum capacity is 450L).
